The short version: NRE Tracker does not collect, transmit, store or share any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your own device, and the app never connects to the internet.
What we collect
Nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier and no third-party SDK of any kind in the app.
Where your data lives
Your profile (name, date of birth, nationality, passport, CDC and PAN details you choose to enter), your voyages, sea-service records and settings are written to your own device’s private storage and read back from it. None of it leaves the device unless you personally export a report or a backup and send it somewhere.
Permissions the app requests, and why
On Android, the app uses the system file picker to import an Excel file you choose and to save reports and backups where you choose. It does not request internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, phone or SMS permissions. On Windows, the program reads and writes only the files you pick.
Reports and backups
Excel and PDF reports, and backup files, are created only when you ask for them and saved to a location you pick. Your profile details are printed in the header of reports because that is what the reports are for; nothing is sent to us.
Not advice
The app counts days and applies published thresholds to the records you enter. It does not file anything, cannot know your full circumstances, and is not tax advice.
Children
NRE Tracker is a tool for working seafarers and travellers. It is not directed at children and collects no data from any user.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever gains a feature that involves a network connection, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described plainly here.
